The Living Archive / Editorial standards

A record that can be checked.

From a recording to a release

Written companions begin with the final published video and its transcript. They are original editorial adaptations, not raw caption dumps. Early scripts are background material, not evidence of the words ultimately spoken.

Evidence and interpretation

Names, dates, quotations and consequential factual claims require sources. Analysis is identified as interpretation. Missing evidence remains a review flag rather than being filled with an assumption.

Approval before publication

Drafts move through source review, fact-checking and author approval before publication. Sensitive claims, quotations and image permissions require review. An upload appearing on YouTube does not automatically approve its written adaptation.

Corrections

Substantive corrections appear with the article, including the date and what changed. To request a correction, email info@kareem.ps with the article URL, disputed passage and supporting evidence.
